Hazardous Waste Disposal/Recovery

Rubo Hazardous Waste Management has a UK wide network of hazardous waste treatment and disposal facilities, offering a full range of the latest treatment techniques. Every different type of hazardous waste requires a different solution, and Rubo can help find the best one to meet your needs, and meet the legal requirement of applying the Waste Hierarchy

Hazardous Waste Management Incineration

High TEMPERATURE Incineration & Thermal Oxidation

High temperature incineration is one of the oldest and most established treatment techniques, and often the only way to dispose of the most hazardous wastes produced. Via this process, temperatures reach >1,100C, fully combusting and destroying your waste. This process is most often suited to herbicides, insecticide, and other Persistent Organic Pollutants (POPs).

Hazardous Waste SLF

Secondary liquid fuelS

Flammable Liquids (such as organics solvents, waste fuels, paints) can be blended to produce an alternative to fossil fuels know as SLF and used in energy intensive industries for example cement kilns.

Hazardous Waste Distillation

Solvent DISTILLATION & Recycling

Many 'single stream' organic solvents, such as vessel flushing/washings, are suitable to be recycled via distillation. This method can provide you with a laundered product for reuse in your system, reducing the cost of buying new product. On site distillation systems can also be provided to keep this process 'in-house' and ensure it meets your quality requirements.

Hazardous Waste Oil Recvoery

Oil Recovery

Many motor and lubricant oils can be recovered and reprocessed to produce Processed Fuel Oil (PFO). Much like with SLF, the waste oil is recycled into a fuel source, reducing the use of traditional fossil fuels.

Hazardous Waste Acid/Base

Acids and bases (such as sulphuric acid and sodium hydroxide) pose a great risk to health and the environment. Acid/base neutralisation is often the most suitable means of treatment, and makes this waste safe to return to the environment.

Hazardous Waste Water Treatment

Filtration and Physio/chemical treatment

Many different types of physical and chemical treatment are available to remove the hazardous components from waste process waters. The correct process selection is vital to ensuring quality results.

This is not an exhaustive list of all the available treatment techniques that Rubo can provide, each different type of hazardous waste requires careful assessment to ensure the chosen treatment option is environmentally sustainable and cost effective. Rubo is here to help you select the best available treatment for your waste.
